Crazy Arm - New single 'Henry Fabian Flynn' and tour!

Crazy Arm release their second single, ‘Henry Fabian Flynn’, on 2nd November 2009, through Xtra Mile Recordings. Available on download-only format, the single comes with two new b-sides, ‘Roasting River’ and ‘Poverty & Spit’.

Paying tribute to the folk-roots stylings of Dick Gaughan, Pete Seeger, Phil Ochs et al, ‘Henry Fabian Flynn’ may seem like a rebel song at first glance but is, in truth, of a more sensitive nature. The band won’t divulge any information on the song’s namesake other than to say that it’s about death, life and all those sh*tty things in between that can turn into good things if you look at them from the right perspective.
It might even be about loyalty. Not a guilt-stricken sense of national loyalty that makes people want to wave silly little plastic flags but a simple, everyday loyalty that puts compassion over country.

Crazy Arm - Henry Fabian Flynn

‘Henry Fabian Flynn’ is the second single to be taken from the band’s debut album ‘Born To Ruin’ – a steamrolling, roots-punk opus that draws on a myriad of diverse influences ranging from ‘60s country-rock to hardcore punk to crunchy, guitar pop with a passionate allegiance to grass-roots politics.

The b-sides, ‘Roasting River’ and ‘Poverty & Spit’, are two of the band’s earliest, unreleased songs, written in 2005 and resurrected due to popular demand.
